THE ART OF THE TINKHAM SISTERS
Ruth and Dorothy Tinkham come from an old English aristocratic family.
The girls grew up in a household where fine art was appreciated and many
paintings graced the walls. At a very young age, the girls can recall
visiting art galleries and museums. It is not unusual but natural that the
girls both became interested in oil painting. The sisters are both self
taught and gained their achievements by study, hard work and experience.
Both taught art classes. Many a charitable organizations were the
recipients of painted donations. These talented women have left a legacy of
their art that we are pleased to present here.
